Well, due to the existence of a lot of stars in soccer, it has not always been easy to pick out the best, but then, I have been able to select a few players who were amazing to watch in the 2022/23 season.

However, this list will only have 15 names, and if you have not found your best player in this list, that does not make him less of the best.

1. Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi has been the best soccer player in the just concluded season but a lot of fans feel he does not deserve the Ballon d’Or. Well, I would agree with them if there is another player with better stats in the just concluded season than Lionel Messi.

Before now, the GOAT debate was heating up but after the Argentine won the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the debate was considered to be settled between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo; who is the real GOAT.

The Frenchman has emerged as a key player for the France national team and PSG.

Sadly, PSG might be selling the Frenchman this summer due to their recent saga.

5. Vinicius Junior

During the season, it was not easy for Vinicius Junior as he was racially abused by some La Liga.

Moreover, Vinicius Junior was able to shut down his critics just before the season ended. His stats in the 2022/23 are incredible and not every winger can pull that off.

Somehow, I would agree with fans seeing Haaland has the one to go home with the Ballon d’Or, but when I remember a certain Lionel Messi, I feel it would not be easy for Haaland to win it after all.
