Norway is one of the European countries that has managed to produce some top European talents over the years.
One of their best products in the past was former Manchester United player and manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, John Carew, and Tore Andre Flo, who played for English Premier League giants, Chelsea.

1. Erling Haaland
Unarguably the best Norwegian soccer player on this list, Erling Haaland currently plays for English Premier League side, Manchester City where he is known for his strength, speed, and ability to score goals.
Starting his career at Molde Erling Haaland joined Salzburg, where he came into the limelight before making the move to the German club, Borussia Dortmund, where he even improved in his goal-scoring.
He later joined Manchester City in the 2022 summer transfer window, and he is a key player in their title campaign, and UEFA Champions League exploit.
While playing in the U-20 FIFA World Cup, for the Norway U-20 team, he scored 9 goals in a single match and then won the golden boot.
2. Martin Ødegaard
Arsenal and former Real Madrid star, Martin Ødegaard made his senior international debut for Norway in 2014 at the age of 15.
He had set the record as Norway’s youngest-ever player, and the youngest player to play in a UEFA European Championship qualifying match for Norway and Europe.
Permanently signed by Arsenal in 2021 for €35 million after several loan spells at the North London club, he is currently the captain of the club. And unarguably the most standout midfielder in the club.
Aside from being the captain of the Arsenal senior men’s team, Martin Ødegaard currently captains the Norway national team. A position he has been holding since he resumed full captaincy in 2021.

Son of former Norwegian soccer play, Goran Sorloth. Alexander Sørloth currently plays as a striker for the Spanish club, Real Sociedad, while on loan from the German side, RB Leipzig.
Known for his speed, and great hold-up play, Alexander Sørloth has scored incredible goals that have helped his teams to win several trophies and league titles.
He has also won a few individual honors. Including the 2019-20 Süper Lig Striker of the Year, and the Turkish Cup top goalscorer.

4. Kristofer Ajer
One of the most successful Norwegian soccer players on this list, Kristofer Ajer is one of the best Norwegian soccer players.
He currently plays for English Premier League side, Brentford. Naturally, a center-back, Kristofer Ajer can play as a defender and also as a midfielder depending on the team’s needs.
He played as a midfielder during his time at Start but when he was at Celtic he switched to a more defensive role, where he played as a center-back.
Kristofer Ajeh currently plays for the Norway national team where he has made over 27 appearances so far for the team.
5. Sander Berge
Signed by Sheffield United in 2020, during their time in the English Premier League, Sander Berge is the club’s most expensive signing and he still plays for them in the Championship.

6. Mohamed Elyounoussi
One of the most experienced Norwegian football players on this list, Mohammed Elyounoussi currently plays for the English side, Southampton.
Although he is individually a brilliant winger, the Norwegian could do little to help save his club from relegation.
Although he was born in Morocco, Mohammed Elyounoussi had to switch his allegiance to Norway, having failed for the country since in their Under 15 in 2009.
Starting his career at Sarpsborg 08 Fotballforening, Mohammed Elyounoussi said that he used to help his father at the pizza store after matches.

7. Leo Skiri Østigård
Center back, Leo Skiri Østigård is another center back on this list.
Although he is still trying to find his feet, Leo Skiri currently plays for the Italian top flight, Napoli, and he is currently part of the title-winning squad.
Although he has spent most of his time deputizing for Kim Min Jae, he has made six appearances for the club and has been very reliable when being called upon.
He also plays for the Norway national team, and he has made over 11+ appearances so far.
8. Marcus Holmgren Pedersen

He currently plays as a goalkeeper and has been instrumental in keeping Hertha Berlin in the German top-flight football league.
